It is not the federal governments job to build us a library, the government didn't build the existing library, that was donated to us. It's also not the federal governments job to fix the potholes in our roads, though a system does exist that allows them to help us with that issue, it is not their direct responsibility, nor is it the provincial governments job. Our municipality gave 1 million dollars to an organization that MAKES MONEY, because they over spent on payroll and amenity upgrades intentionally (I saw the numbers they gave and anyone with any business sense could see that the overspending was intentional), but has the audacity to limit spending on roads and infrastructure. Our municipality, in the same meeting where they gave a million dollars to a profitable business, also stated that art culture industry is the only industry contributing to our island, invalidating every other business in this municipality. The issue isn't a lack of money on the part of the CBRM, it's the management of the money that is there, I wrote a whole article on the fact that an existing building could have been renovated, or the existing library could have been added on to, and that would get us our library, but the fact is, the library is a political tool being used to promote the re-election of the existing council, and it's a load of garbage.
