The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team announced the signing of Ari Stewart. The 27-year-old Stewart is a 6'7" 200 lbs forward who hails from Montgomery, Alabama.

Stewart played NCAA Division 1 basketball at Wake Forest University and the University of Southern California. He then played professionally in the Japan BJ league, averaging 16 points and 5 rebounds per game. He played last season in Australia.

President and General Manager, Tyrone Levingston, said, "Ari is a player with tremendous potential. He is on the NBA’s watch list and I think we’ll provide him with the opportunity to show what he can do while we work towards our NBL championship."
