Cape Breton received 14 total nominations for this year's East Coast Music Awards in Saint John, New Brunswick. The island received 9 nominations for Music & Fan's Choice awards and 5 for Industry Awards.
Heather Rankin, Andrea Beaton, Còig, City Natives, Eskasoni Schools, Colin Grant and Scott MacMillan highlight the nominees from Cape Breton. Enfield rapper Classified leads all artists with nine nominations, while Nova Scotia leads all regions with 99 total nominations.
