CBRM's Top Candidate as our New CBRM Mayor - Show Your Support

As we get closer to the upcoming CBRM election, we're starting to hear names comes out of the woodwork. The top people we're hearing support for replacing Cecil Clarke are Amanda McDougall, former Mayor John Morgan, and Chief Terry Paul. While Morgan is preparing for an MLA bid for the NDP, Chief Terry Paul will remain focused on his leadership within the First Nation community.

Back in February of this year, just before COVID-19 completely disrupted our society, Councillor Amanda McDougall appeared on the Cape Breton Situation Podcast.

During her interview, she acknowledged that she is actively considering a bid as the new CBRM mayor.

It's time for the community to show support for our top candidate and let her know that we'll support her bringing a new type of leadership to the CBRM. If you haven't followed politics closely, you can learn a little bit more about her life here: A Community Calls: The Path to Mayor for Amanda McDougall.

Mayor Clarke has been trying to find a viable escape route from the CBRM. While he's seeking his pathway out, we have to choose a candidate who's giving everything they have to find a pathway for our community to go forward together.

I like Amanda. I think she would make a good mayor.
