The Halifax Examiner published videos of the full interview of 1990's Search & Rescue team member Bryan McDonald with the Clayton Miller family's lawyer.
During the interview, McDonald suggests that a search and rescue team searched for Clayton Miller on Saturday, May 5th, 1990 at the location where his body would be found a day later by his friend, Dale MacKinnon. The significance of establishing that the boy's body was not present on Saturday is that it would help to support a range of theories suggesting Clayton Miller was moved to the stream after his death.
SIRT (Serious Incident Response Team) previously completed an investigation in conjunction with Nova Scotia' medical examiner that suggested Miller died after becoming intoxicated at the teen party, falling into the stream, and succumbing to hypothermia. The head of SIRT now suggests that information about any possible Search & Rescue operation was not provided before.
