The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team have signed two rookie Canadians for training camp.
James Sylvester (left in photo above) is a 5’10” 170lbs guard from Toronto, ON. He played NCAA Division I basketball at Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD, and then transferred to Colorado MESA in Grand Junction, CO. He averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Jamal Reynolds (right in photo above) is a 6’4” 175lbs guard from Pickering, ON. He played NCAA Division I basketball at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. He was captain of the team and averaged 5 points and 5 rebounds per game. Reynolds was also a member of the Canadian Junior National Team in 2013.
President and General Manager, Tyrone Levingston, said, "We’re pleased to sign two young Canadian talents at the start of their pro careers. I look forward to seeing James and Jamal in action on our home court."
