The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team now sits in first place in the National Basketball League of Canada.

The Highlanders sport a record of 14 wins and 7 losses.  The team has won 12 of their last 15 games.

The Highlanders win today versus the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans moved them ahead of the Moncton Magic, who started the season with 10 straight wins.  The Highlanders also moved ahead of the St. John's Edge, who have also been on a winning streak.

The 40-game season is now at the half-way point.
