The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team will hit the court for their first game of Season 2 in an exhibition bout versus the Prince Edward Island Storm.
The game will be played on Sunday, November 12 at 2pm at Breton Education Centre in New Waterford, home of the Coal Bowl. The Highlanders are contributing half of all ticket proceeds to support Breton Education Centre Basketball.
Attendance is $10 per person at the door for general seating. Please note that there are no advance ticket sales and this game is not included with Season Tickets.
Head Coach, Rob Spon, will introduce a new roster for the Highlanders. The team is currently in training camp where a number of player are competing for a spot on the final roster. The exhibition game may provide a final opportunity for players to show their skills before final cuts are made.
The Head Coach of the Island Storm is Tim Kendrick. Kendick coached the University of PEI Men's Basketball Team for the past 6 years with a record of 70 and 50. He also played a season with the CBU Capers in 1986-1987.
