The Moncton Miracles defeated the Cape Breton Highlanders 112-90 on Wednesday at the Moncton Coliseum in a battle for the final Atlantic Division playoff spot.
Melvin Johnson III led the Miracles with 22 points, while Chad Frazier scored a game-high 25 for Cape Breton.
Moncton led by 10, 47-37, at halftime, and broke things open in the third quarter, outscoring the Highlanders 35-27.
Cape Breton is now 14-24, while the Miracles are 14-25. The teams face off again on Friday, at Centre 200 in Sydney, where the Highlanders can clinch the post-season berth with a win.
