LOOKING FOR A GREAT EMPLOYEE?

Hello readers, I am an ex-pat Cape Bretoner who has "lived away" for most of my adult life. Recently, I decided to come back home to live, and now I am looking for employment; part time or full time, depending on the job and the circumstances.

For the past ten years I have been an ESL *(English as a second language) teacher in Quebec City. There I taught English to francophone students at Laval University, the provincial and federal governments, in private industry, and also, one-on-one sessions and small groups in my home. Ideally, I would like to find a job where I can apply my extensive teaching experience, but, I am also open to other opportunities such as editing, proof-reading, tutoring high school and university students in grammar rules and usage, as well as the basics of writing essays.

Having said that, I am also open to  different types of employment, as I enjoy meeting and helping people.  However, my future work cannot include retail sales, as I have two artificial knees, and therefore, I cannot stand for a full shift. Other than that, I am in excellent health, and I look forward to hearing from anyone who may have an employment opportunity to discuss with me.   Sincerely, Deborah Jeans

Hey Deborah ... there are 2,000 international students at CBU this year, many of which have English as a second language and may be seeking the type of help your ESL teaching experience can provide. Perhaps start there. Best wishes!
