The Canada Border Services Agency is ordering the removal of the Fugger family from Cape Breton for errors in the handling of their application for permanent residency.
In the video, Romana Fugger explains not only the issue, but calls Cape Breton a "gift" and says her "heart is bleeding" on the eve of her family having to leave.
The family owns a property and has invested over $500,000 of their life savings, and say they love their new home in Cape Breton. However, to avoid deportation, they are now required to leave before May 8th, and will not be permitted to return to Canada for at least one year.
In a heartfelt message, the Fugger mom shares insights into the ordeal, how her family feels about their new home, their experience in Cape Breton, and how they are feeling before their reluctant departure.
