NASA’s EOSDIS satellite shot from March 21/21 (above) provided a great, cloud free shot of eastern North America showing the position of the spring snowline. It is still moving slowly northward, even with the snowstorm the other day.

A nice shot from NASA’s Aqua satellite Sunday afternoon showing snow/ice conditions over the Maritimes.
Even with the snowstorm the Annapolis valley is now pretty much clear of snow, but blanked by snow to the north and south. The Halifax-Truro corridor seems to have picked up more snow from the storm.

Cape Breton is still snow covered. Lakes are still ice covered, although the downstream end of the Mira below Albert Bridge seems to have opened up.
Ice from PEI is still creating the ice pack along the western shore, creating attendant microclimates.
