The Prime Contact Group says they are interested in sending a team to Cape Breton to explore the opportunity of opening a call centre here. They are aware of the surprise closure of Servicom on Thursday and suggested they may be able to play a role in getting former employees back to work.
The information came from a tweet directed at local Cape Breton media on Twitter. See below.
In media interviews, Servicom Manager Todd Riley described a company that recently toured the Servicom facility in Sydney while negotiating a potential acquisition. However, the name of that company was not identified. When that acquisition was not completed, employees were terminated without being paid.
Sad to hear about #Survicom employees. As call centre owners this is unacceptable. Meeting with our execs today to deploy a team to #CapeBreton We'll explore opening a centre in CB to get those hard working people back to work! #SydneyNS @RyanMacD_CTV @CBPost_Chris @CTVAtlantic
