Just a quick reminder to all that Heavy Garbage Pickup in the CBRM is scheduled to start on May 1st, 2017.

In the event that your area is one of the first to have pickup, the Municipality asks that you have your unwanted items at the curb by 6 am on the morning of May 1st.

Several homeowners in the CBRM have already taken the opportunity to start piling stuff at the curb.

It's an excellent program that comes at a cost of around $250,000. This weekend will be your chance to spend some time taking advantage of this spring cleanup opportunity. Ask seniors, friends, or family if they need your assistance with any heavy or hard to lift items.
