As you can see from the correspondence received today from Bill Morneau, he would like us to speak to the Minister responsible in the Provincial Government. Chuck Porter is the new Minister of Municipal Affairs and he is responsible for the funding (or lack of) to the municipalities. Mr. Porters response is a letter that Karen Casey has written many months ago and somehow it is the same response we now get from Chuck Porter. This has been the go for the last 8 months here at the NSEF. Ottawa tells us to speak and deal with the provincial government and the provincial government completely ignores us. At what point do we have to say no more to this BS. When we write the Federal Government, it is usually to the Justice Minister, Jody Wilson-Raybould about the fact that the Provincial Government is breaking the law against the citizens of the province. Minister Wilson-Raybould sends the file to Minister Morneau because it is regarding Equalization and he responds and tells us to deal with the province. Round and Round we go........

Dear Chuck Porter:
As you can see by the attached letter from Bill Morneau, he would like us to speak directly to you, the minister responsible for the file here in Nova Scotia. Sending us a letter that Karen Casey has written many months ago and stating that "this should address our concerns" is not sufficient as far as our group speaking with you on this matter. We have published you letter as well as the letter from Bill Morneau for the rest of the the province to view the absolute nonsense we are dealing with here in this province. We will wait for a response from you but we only want it to state when you can meet with us and nothing else. We won't hold our breath.....
