57-year-old man dies following a two-vehicle collision

A 57-year-old man has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck in Saint-Philippe, N.B.

On May 28, 2023, at approximately 11:15 a.m., members of the Shediac RCMP detachment responded to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and pickup truck on Cape Breton Road in Saint-Philippe. The driver of the motorcycle, a 57-year-old man from the community, was transported to the hospital with what were believed to be life threating injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was not injured.

On June 7, 2023, the driver of the motorcycle died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.

Members of the Moncton Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and an RCMP collision reconstructionist also attended the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
