Suspicious Discovery On North Sydney Beach

A local Facebook user identified as Cecil Clarke (not to be confused with the CBRM mayor) posted a photo of clothing, sneakers, and a bottle of rubbing alcohol he found on a beach "below Main Street" in North Sydney on November 13th.

The man says the discarded clothing contained $15 cash in the pockets, and the sleeves of the shirt were burned "around the wrist area". The black shorts found contained a protective sports cup.

The man reported the discovery to the police and turned over the cash that was found. Facebook comments speculated on various explanations, but the discovery remains a mystery.
