Will The RCMP Investigate the Provincial Government?

The NSEF has made a formal request to RCMP to investigate the Nova Scotia Provincial Governments management of the Federal Equalization Program. We have formally requested a meeting with the acting Commissioner of the RCMP regarding our data and evidence that the provincial government is not complying with the supreme laws of Canada, the Constitution. We also have reached out to Cape Breton’s two MPs as well as Brian Comer on this issue and we have that request in a video format for you to hear. We will include that below. Here is our letter to John Ferguson of the RCMP: Assistant Commissioner John Ferguson Interim Commanding Officer RCMP, Nova Scotia Attention Assistant Commissioner John Ferguson: On checking the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, we learned that the duties under this Act gives the RCMP the policing powers “ to perform all duties that are assigned to peace officers in relation to the preservation of the peace, the prevention of crime and of offences against the laws of Canada and the laws in force in any province (emphasis added) in which they may be employed, and the apprehension of criminals, offenders, and others who may be lawfully taken into custody.” The volunteer advocacy group known as the Nova Scotians for Equalization Fairness (NSEF), in which I, Father Albert Maroun, is the public face of this group, have been trying for more than two decades to have both levels of government comply with the enshrined law of section 36 of the Constitution Act, 1982. Both levels of government’s elected representatives have refused to meet a citizen gathering to engage in an explanation of or a defense of how their management of these federal Equalization Transfers is complying with their constitutional obligation pursuant to section 36. The NSEF have compiled a large volume of written correspondence, etc. with the two levels of government in Canada that will very quickly reveal that the two governments have structured/manipulated these payments to make any accountability or transparency to its citizens an impossibility. And to note, the information used by the NSEF is taken from the websites of the two levels of government and from correspondence received from government over these many years. Therefore, the NSEF as the volunteer citizens advocacy group is seeking the RCMPs authority under the RCMP Police Act to inform both levels of government that the RCMP has received an official complaint and it is now investigating this alleged noncompliance with section 36 of the Constitution Act, 1982 by both levels of government, which is the supreme law of this country: The Constitution. The Nova Scotians for Equalization Fairness is readily available to meet with the RCMP to provide our more than two decades of data and evidence that we have compiled surrounding the misappropriation of funding due to Cape Breton and rural Nova Scotia. We feel that we have no other choice but to research further, via an investigation, if the Nova Scotia Provincial Government is complying with the law and the constitution of Canada. We look forward to hearing back from the RCMP soon. Sincerely, Rev. Dr. Albert Maroun on behalf of The Nova Scotia for Equalization Fairness Board Members & Supporters https://www.facebook.com/NSEF.CB/videos/2171517816338042
