Although it is something to think about, I hesitate to comment because I don’t know what the pro and cons would be if this was to happen. I do know, that I have heard from a lot of people here in Sydney Mines, that we were doing quite well until we amalgamated with Sydney and made us CBRM. Now, we are feeling that everything is happening in Sydney and here on the Northside is being put on the back burner. With that being said, I would have to be educated about this before I would say yes or no.

I've heard people suggest the same before. I'd be curious to know the financial status of each of the towns amalgamated in the CBRM. I wonder if there's a CBU professor that has researched the decision and the outcome over the 27 years since. That would be an interesting read.
