" It is with great regret that we are informing you of the following: Due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our resources.-We will NOT be selling gas any longer (regular and supreme). There is a small amount in the tanks that we are reserving for emergency services(fire, rcmp) and stranded travellers. But when that is gone, it’s all gone. This is a post we never wanted to make. At some point in the past, before we owned the store, there was a massive fuel leak or spill. It was not cleaned up or reported. So we are stuck with the huge out of pocket expense of cleaning it up. And we WILL clean it up. We wish there was another way but we have exhausted all options. We can’t help but wonder about the ripple effect this will have for locals and tourists year round. Jenn and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for filling up your cars, bikes, sleds and other machines here over the last 5 years. We will still be open as a store and cottages, just without fuel. Again, we are very sorry and upset about this, and we wish there was something that could have been done to change the outcome…As we look towards the future, we want you to know that we will still carry our usual items and a bunch of new clothing and gifts are on the way!"
