Sydney, NS – On Monday, September 24th, the YMCA of Cape Breton launched its 25th YLotto campaign presented by the Cape Breton Post. The milestone fundraiser gives ticket buyers the chance to win 125 prizes, including $100,000 cash, a 2019 Mustang Coupe and a trip anywhere WestJet flies including spending money, an appliance package and much more. All proceeds raised help Cape Breton families access YMCA programs.
“We’re celebrating the YLotto’s 25th anniversary with our best prize package ever,” says YMCA of Cape Breton Fundraiser, Debbie MacLeod. “Tickets are $99 and 100% of the proceeds go back into our community. Our ticket buyers also love the 50/50 add-on which provides an opportunity to win more cash. Last year’s 50/50 jackpot was more than $78,000.”
Tickets are now on sale at various outlets throughout the CBRM. They can also be ordered online at capebretonlottery.com, by calling 902-563-4079 or visiting any YMCA branch.
“Each year, we provide more than $80,000 in financial support to 500 children and families,” says YMCA of Cape Breton CEO, Andre Gallant. “With 1 in 3 children in Cape Breton living in poverty and alarming rates of childhood obesity and illnesses, like diabetes and mental health issues, the YMCA is pivotal in supporting the health and wellness of our children and youth.”
