The Cape Breton Highlanders were back in action January 15th at Centre 200 against the Moncton Miracles. The Highlanders defeated the Miracles, 96-88 to claim their second win of the season.
Highlanders trailed the Miracles going into half-time 43-47. In a back-and-forth third quarter, the Highlanders took the lead over the Miracles 70-65. Highlanders maintained the lead in the fourth quarter to win the victory over the Miracles.
Hank Thorns led the Highlanders with 17 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds. Charles Mann Jr. scored 13 points. Chadrack Lufile scored 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Melvin Johnson III led the Miracles with 24 points. Russell Byrd had 21 points and Tydran Beaty scored 13 points with 7 rebounds.
The Cape Breton Highlanders face the Saint John Riptide Friday, January 20th at Centre 200.
