Huge shout out to Scott Morrison of Flavor Cape Breton and Jeff McDonald of Aucoin Renovations Ltd. and Advanced Insulation Services.
Although the game didn't go exactly how Scott had planned, he still came through in a big way for cancer patients in Cape Breton. Both of these local business owners got together last week and made a friendly wager on the Boston Bruins - Toronto Maple Leafs series.
Although the Leafs lost, Scott was a good sport and joined Jeff today to follow through on his end of the wager by begrudgingly wearing a Brad Marchand jersey during the cheque presentation.
Both Scott and Jeff made a $1,000 donation to the Because You Care Cup, which will be supporting cancer research in Cape Breton.
Thanks to both of these community leaders for taking the time to give back in the name of the rivalry between their favorite teams.
The 5th Annual Because You Care Cup, presented by Aucoin Renovations and Advanced Insulation Services, will be held September 15th and 16th in Destination Membertou.
All money raised will be supporting Cancer Care in Cape Breton.
