Ross Hunter

From Springhill, Nova Scotia, Ross moved to Sydney, Cape Breton in the fall of 1991 and began working in the Cape Breton Hospitality sector. Ross has worked in Food and Beverage for major chains Delta and Days Inn as well as creating/launching the catering department for the Membertou Trade and Convention Center. In 2003 his focus switched to sales and he joined the Cambridge Suites Sydney as Sales and Revenue Manager.

In 2011 Ross created “The Red Diner” an upscale diner concept for Days Inn and saw the project from concept through renovation and successful launch. 

In 2012 Ross formed his own consulting company Hunter Hospitality and Sales Resources and very quickly secured a contact with Destination Cape Breton Association, Cape Breton’s Destination Marketing organization and the governing Tourism body as Sales & Industry Relations representative.
Ross’s association with the entertainment industry began catering events for ECMA’s and Christmas Daddies as well as contracting entertainment for Delta Sydney Hotel. 

Areas of business expertise include social media marketing, customer service standards/training, sales plans/techniques, budgeting, event planning, Food and Beverage management and communications. 

As a singer Ross has performed on the Christmas Daddies Telethon, and at local venues throughout CBRM including Casino NS. Most recently Ross performed in “Another opening, another show”, Chicago - The Musical, Miracle On 34th Street at the Savoy Theatre and is currently in rehearsals for the "Heart Of Steel" at Highland Arts Theatre in Sydney, NS.
