A couple of great images from NASA’s Terra satellite this morning to compare with recent satellite photos.
The close-up of the Island shows snow in the Highlands. Ice breaking up nicely over the Bras d’Or Lake, part is still frozen over. Good ice pack along the western shore, around the northern tip and down to Ingonish, keeping temperatures cool.

The wider shot shows how the snow and ice are leaving. Lot more browns of spring showing up over the mainland, PEI, and the lowlands of Cape Breton.
