NASA’s Terra satellite captured a nice shot January 12th showing the extent of snow cover over the Maritimes.
Interesting snow line across mainland Nova Scotia, but total snow cover over Cape Breton. Notable, localized absence of cloud cover off the northern tip of the Island.
Looks like some ice forming in the centre part of the Bras d’Or Lake and in the ocean around Gabarus. The Mira River still appears ice free.
