Before Christmas, we heard from customer Lionel Del Fierro, who wanted to share some very exciting news: his latest project was going to be featured at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

A NY-based tech designer, Del Fierro created Project Triptych for Gigabyte #Mod2Win, a competition celebrating the 30th anniversary of global computer hardware maker Gigabyte. 

Here's how Del Fierro describes the design he created:

"Triptych is traditionally a work of art split into three sections hinged together. Project Triptych is a modern take celebrating Gigabytes 30 years displaying three pillars of their brand and business. This was the concept, and to achieve this, I needed a custom case that only had three sides, one to display their motherboard, one for their graphics card, and lastly one to display their iconic logos."

Del Fierro used Protocase's rapid custom manufacturing services to create the three-sided 16-gauge sheet steel case he needed for his Project Triptych design, opting for a signal white powdercoat finish.

The Gigabyte Mod2Win judges award Del Fierro first place for Project Triptych, so he'll be presenting his build at the Gigabyte booth in the world-renowned CES 2017 this week.
