Overnight detox service resumes at Cape Breton Regional Hospital [CBC]

Overnight detox beds are once again available at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

The inpatient withdrawal management service was paused last summer while Nova Scotia Health searched for doctors who could provide specialized addiction treatment.

Dr. David Martell, the province's medical lead on addictions, said over the past year, the health authority has created an on-call list of physicians from across the province who are available around the clock and hired two new doctors at the regional hospital in Sydney.
