0 New COVID-19 Cases Reported, No Deaths - Data Portal Suspended

The Nova Scotia government is reporting 0 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases in the province as of Monday, June 8, 2020. The total number of cases is now 1059. There were no additional deaths reported today. There have been 61 deaths in total in Nova Scotia. 


Today, they suspended updating data in their data portal today with the following message:


"Note, June 8: Data sources are being reconciled and consolidated to ensure all publicly reported data comes from a single source, Panorama, the province’s public health reporting system. Updated data will be reported this week"


23 consecutive days without a reported case of COVID-19 in our zone was interrupted on June 3rd, with one new case reported. This is the fifth consecutive day in the Eastern Zone with no cases reported. For the preceding 3 days, there were 3 consecutive days of no new cases reported in the province.


Previously, the Eastern Zone had 14 consecutive days without a case that ended on May 10th when a single new case was reported. However, no new cases occurred since.

The Eastern Zone had had 4 total deaths, with the last of the reported deaths occurring on April 23rd.

The highest number of active COVID-19 cases (non-recovered or deceased) was reported on April 19th totalling 466.
