The Nova Scotia government is reporting 3 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases in the province as of Monday, May 18, 2020. The total number of cases is now 1043. 946 people have recovered. 8 people are currently hospitalized. There were no additional deaths reported today. There have been 55 deaths in total in Nova Scotia. This is the 3rd consecutive day with no deaths reported in the province.
The Eastern Zone has 14 consecutive days without a case that ended on May 10th when a single new case was reported. However, no new cases followed, and this is currently the 8th consecutive day without a case in the Eastern Zone. The Eastern Zone had had 4 total deaths, with the last of the reported deaths occurring on April 23rd.
The highest number of active COVID-19 cases (non-recovered or deceased) was reported on April 19th totalling 466.
