There are many variations in how we prepare and eat lobster in Cape Breton, including how we shell them.
Melissa Lahey shared a video first demonstrating a method that is familiar to many of us: squeezing the tail to crack the shell before removing the meat. She then demonstrates a method to remove the meat using a fork that is much faster. See her video below.
