Anna Manley called Mike Kelloway's suggestions that the Liberal Party planned to build 500,000 homes per year as "ridiculous" and "not possible" during the CBC debate for Sydney Glace Bay. Once Pierre Poilievre released his platform, she enthusiastically shared his plan to build 2,300,000 homes in 5 years—which is equivalent to 460,000 homes per year. SEE VIDEO BELOW.
Which is it? Ridiculous? Impossible? Or a great commitment?
JOE'S NOTE: They both are focused on their party's platform (whatever Carney or Poilievre say). However, local high property tax rates will ensure that their programs will result primarily in additional growth in the Halifax region, while we continue to have a strong disincentive for builders to choose the CBRM. We need to (and can) fix our local tax rates to spark a housing boom here.
Disclaimer: This video uses movie clips for humour and satire. The subject is contradictory support of similar housing plan numbers.
Joe had 9,371 votes for him in the mayor election and needs approximately 1,000 more votes in this election to defeat Kelloway and Manley. Let's get it right this time!
