The Cape Breton Highlanders professional basketball team announced the signing of Anthony Spencer. The 31-year-old Spencer is 6'6" and 195 lbs, and hails from Chicago, IL. He plays the guard and forward positions.

Spencer has played professionally in Mexico, China, Dubai, and Bolivia. While playing in the USA for the Premier Basketball League, he averaged 29 points and 10 rebounds per game. He played college basketball at Johnson County Community College in Iowa.

President and General Manager, Tyrone Levingston, said, "Anthony is a veteran who has traveled the world to play his sport. His aggressive scoring and rebounding is a welcome combination for our squad."
