On August 13th, Sacred Heart Downtown is bringing you their first-ever concert - A night of traditional fiddle music with double-platinum selling Canadian recording artist, and 3 time Juno Award winner Ashley MacIsaac.
Kevin Colford, owner of the newly opened venue, commented, “It’s always been part of my vision to have our walls become a home, in part, for the great musicians of the Maritimes and what an honour to start that tradition with the musical genius that is Ashley MacIsaac.” The long awaited night is set for Friday, August 13th at 9:00PM with doors opening at 8:15PM.
Colford added, “When restoring the building I put a lot of care into the sound of the space. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into fine tuning the way sound travels through the space so no one would have a bad seat. So no one would feel they were too close or too far from the action. I think we’ve landed with something magical.” The design was put to the test and resoundingly passed when Sacred Heart Downtown hosted the 2021 ECMA Awards for pre-recorded and live segments of the show.
MacIsaac will be backed up by Chris Babineau on guitar and Hilda Chaisson on piano for the intimate concert bouncing off the acoustics of the newly restored walls of the former church.
