Atlantic Bubble Begins on July 3, 2020:

"Earlier today, the Council of Atlantic Premiers announced travel restrictions in Atlantic Canada will be eased as COVID-19 case numbers remain low in each province. Interprovincial travel within Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador, without the requirement to self-isolate for Atlantic Canadian residents, will be permitted beginning Friday, July 3."

The Nova Scotia government is reporting 0 new COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases in the province as of Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

There are now 2 people in the hospital, one in ICU, and one in non-ICU. The province explains:

"Two people are currently in hospital, one of those in ICU. Both patients’ COVID-19 infections are considered resolved but they are being treated in hospital."

The total number of cases is now 1061. There were no additional deaths reported today. There have been 63 deaths in total in Nova Scotia. There are 0 active cases remaining. 2 people are currently hospitalized. 998 people have recovered or are classified as "resolved."

This is the 15th day in a row with no new cases of COVID-19 in the province.

IMPORTANT:

"Anyone who has travelled outside of Nova Scotia must self-isolate for 14 days. As always, any Nova Scotian who develops symptoms of acute respiratory illness should limit their contact with others until they feel better."

The Eastern Zone had had 4 total deaths, with the last of the reported deaths occurring on April 23rd.

The highest number of active COVID-19 cases (non-recovered or deceased) was reported on April 19th totalling 466.
