Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village Léirsinn Exhibit

June 1st - October 18th - LÉIRSINN: An Taisbeandh

Léirsinn (layr-sheen), means perspective, insight, or vision. It is a project of the N.S.C.A.D. 2015 Designing for Cultural Restoration class, led by Marlene Ivey in collaboration with Nova Scotia Highland Village, Office of Gaelic Affairs and the Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia. The posters are represented in three themes: Youth and the metaphor of Beàrnan Brìde (the dandelion), a symbol of spring renewal, hardihood and resilience; Sean fhaclan (proverbs), the Gaelic wisdom system and Òrain, Nova Scotia's native Gaelic song tradition. The posters will be exhibited at the Highland Village from June 1st- October
