Event Overview: The Grand Narrows Waterfront Development Society (GNWDS) and the 7GI Society are partnering to create a landmark initiative centered on Mi’kmaq history and friendship along the Barra Strait.

This project is designed to deepen community connections, promote cultural understanding, and celebrate the rich heritage of the Mi’kmaq people.

With a targeted completion in 2025, this initiative includes interpretive signage, student engagement, and cultural events that honor the enduring friendship between Mi’kmaq and non-Indigenous communities.
