Local author Mary P. MacDonald will be at the McConnell Library (50 Falmouth St., Sydney) to share her latest book, Let It Be.

Mary P. MacDonald has lived with mental illness for forty-seven years. Drawing on her life experiences (both good and bad), Mary has written a book that includes some of the nuggets of wisdom she’s gained along the way. Her poetry is interspersed throughout the book, adding personal insight and reflections.

Mary is also a mental health advocate, and her two previous publications have been fundraisers for the Canadian Mental Health Association and tools to engage with the community, to promote awareness and understanding around mental health.

This event is a drop-in program from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. ~ a chance to meet Mary and learn more about her books.
