Melvin Hines is a licensed moose hunting guide, touring the back-lands of Meat Cove/Polletts Cove-Aspy Fault wilderness area of Cape Breton Island. A former member and a co-founder of Meat Cove Outfitters along side of brothers Hector and Harold Hines.

The group that held the Nova Scotia 1997 record Moose scoring in at 228 and six eights (bone and crocket) with a 72 inch spread. Branching out on his own with over 29 years of experience Melvin kept his operation small with a very limited number of clients each season to ensure the best in adventure and success.
