Episode 69 of a Cape Breton Podcast with Joe Ward, Boxer Shorts Media.
After CBRM's police service moved their radio system to encryption, there was a big push of enthusiasts to police scanner groups on Facebook as an alternative. Some are critical of the discussion there, and object to people revealing the location of police speed traps, or haphazardly discussing local crimes and emergencies.

I'll describe what happened to the group and why it's been overtaken by deviant behaviour. If you're not one of the more than 50,000 members, you're better off taking my word for it. It's murky in there.
