Apparently Opossums eat thousands of ticks. They're ambulating tick vacuums. We need to encourage more possums to come to tasty and delightful Cape Breton. Also, foxes have been found to be a keystone species for reducing Lyme disease-carrying ticks in a region. So we need more foxes too! Think we could start a program for fox and possum resettlement to the Island?
