CTV's Kyle Moore is reporting via Twitter that Cape Breton Regional Hospital medical staff are describing their busy weekend as having been "run off their feet". Due to emergency room closures, the hospital was the only one open for emergency services during the weekend. Moore says one doctor briefly considered leaving due to the "chaotic" conditions.
It’s been a chaotic weekend for medical staff at the CB Regional. Physicians and nurses say they’ve been run off their feet. The island’s largest hospital is the only one offering emergency services in the CBRM. @CTVAtlantic pic.twitter.com/CehWs2o2Tg

Conditions are so overwhelming one doctor said “I walked in the door yesterday and took one look around and was very close to walking out.” @CTVAtlantic https://t.co/RmG2Fnc0FY
