CBR Police catch man for break and enter

A 27-year-old faces charges after Cape Breton Regional Police responded to reports of a suspicious person around vehicles in the Lingan Road and Gatacre Street areas of Whitney Pier early Wednesday morning, January 4th.

 

Officers spotted a man on Gatacre Street who ran from the police vehicle and then quickly located him again on MacDonald Crescent, noting he matched the suspect’s reported description and was carrying multiple bags. Officers located tools and a variety of other’s personal belongings inside; upon further investigation, officers also connected the suspect to items taken from a residence on Lingan Road.

 

Alexander Marshall Gillis was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre charged with: Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Break-in Instruments.
