CBR Police charge two for drug trafficking

Two men face drug-trafficking charges related to ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in the CBRM.

 

Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime officers executed two separate search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act this week, on Townsend Street in Sydney July 27th and on the Louisbourg Highway in Catalone July 28th. Officers seized a combination of Cocaine, Oxycodone, more than 100 cartons of illegal tobacco, cash and other drug paraphernalia, and arrested a man connected to each of the searches.

 

Carl Gregory Parsons, 59 of Catalone, appeared in Sydney Provincial Court today charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine & Oxycodone, Trafficking in Cocaine, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Further charges for the illegal tobacco are pending under the Revenue Act.

 

A second 59-year-old man from Sydney will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on September 12th, to face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
