The Cape Breton Regional Police have posted to their Facebook page addressing a rumour currently circulating on social media of multiple alleged sex-worker abductions in Sydney.

The Police say that they've received no reports of the incidents, but are trying to confirm the information and are monitoring the area.

On Wednesday, a Sydney woman posted a Facebook message as a warning to the public. The posting has since gone viral with more than 1,260 shares at the present time, prompting a response from the regional police service.
