The CBRM property taxes are among the very highest in Canada. Would you believe that the people paying an even higher effective rate are those with the lowest value homes in the entire municipality? It's a $575 minimum residential tax for next year, up by 15%. I propose that they should pay the base rate only, just like everyone else.
