The Colbourne Auto Group Community Food Truck is gearing up for another summer supporting community events and fundraising activities in the CBRM.
“Our Community Food Truck was on the road over 50 times last year,” said Colbourne Auto Group GM Brad Jacobs. “And we are expecting an even busier year this year.”
Brad Jacobs, General Manager - Colbourne Auto Group
The Colbourne Auto Group Community Food Truck is a mobile canteen that supports local business and nonprofit organizations by giving away free fries at community events. The Food Truck is part of Colbourne Cares, a corporate social responsibility program with a core philosophy of giving back to the community that supports their business.
“During the pandemic, we visited all the long-term care facilities,” said Jacobs. “We wanted to do something special for the front-line workers because it’s been an incredibly tough time. It makes a big difference in someone's life when you can stop by, and do something that shows that you are thinking about them and that you care about them.”
Jacobs is advising local organizations who wish to host the Community Food Truck to get in contact early in order to get on their schedule.
“Now that restrictions have been lifted, we anticipate a lot of pent-up demand as organizations start to hold fundraisers again,” said Jacobs. “We want to fit in as many as we can, so I encourage folks to contact us early so we can get them on our schedule.”
