Located within walking distance of downtown Sydney, the Community Homeless Shelter provides safe emergency accommodation for men experiencing homelessness in a manner that respects their diverse experiences and needs. People experiencing homelessness have few resources and the Shelter is often their final option to receive the basic necessities of life that many of us take for granted in our day to day lives.

Not only does the Shelter immediately remove many of the dangers of being homeless, it offers clients a number of services to help them gain assistance and support in the areas they need. Clients are provided with a bed for the night, meals, shower and laundry facilities, access to our donation room that is full of clothing and many required personal items, safe storage of medication and valuables as well as an area for relaxing and watching television.

Our hours of operation during winter months (December - April) are 6pm-10am and during summer months (May-December) 8pm-8am.

Referrals are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Shelter remains open during extreme weather conditions.

We also offer a referral service for females requiring emergency shelter.
