Destination Cape Breton, in partnership with the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, will host the launch of #RiseAgain2030, a new Destination Development Strategy for Cape Breton Island, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 1pm to 3pm.
This event will take place at the beautifully revitalized Sacred Heart in Sydney’s historic North End, complete with all the makings of a true Cape Breton Kitchen Party (pandemic-style): food, drink, and live Cape Breton music presented by the Celtic Colours International Festival.
Destination Cape Breton’s CEO, Terry Smith, will provide an overview of the strategic direction we will take in tourism as an Island over the next ten years.
“This won’t be your typical strategy plan reveal,” says CEO, Terry Smith. “Local Celtic Colour artists, including Morgan Toney, Michelle Deveau, Kenneth MacKenzie, Margie Beaton, and Colin MacDonald, are sure to keep your toes tapping and your ears humming in this kitchen party style event. And local poet, Robyn Martelly, will inspire us with one of her works.”
Kathleen Yurchesyn, CEO of the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, will then moderate a panel discussion with three local social media influencers who share their incredible Cape Breton Island experiences and discoveries with the world.
Instagram influencers that will be a part of the panel discussion include Tara Lewis (@taralouie83), Ashley MacDonald (@lifeofashmac), and Chuck Wrathall (@chuckwrathall).
While tickets to the event are not available due to COVID-19 restrictions, community members are encouraged to join via the livestream here: https://riseagain2030.com/
