GLACE BAY - The principal of Oceanview Education Centre in Glace Bay is inviting the public to come in to the school to view an exhibit, 'Canary in the Mine: Nova Scotia Mining Disasters and Song.'
The exhibit, created by Heather Sparling, a professor of ethnomusicology at Cape Breton University, features a history of mining disasters articulated through songs.
The exhibit is housed on four iPads mounted in kiosks, which will travel to various venues over the coming years.
